      While earning his degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Tortoriello was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing his residency at New York Hospital / Cornell Medical Center, he did his clinical fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, followed by a clinical and basic science fellowship in REI at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical Center. Currently, he also serves as Medical Director of SIRM NY.

      The author of numerous articles in scientific journals, Dr. Tortoriello is at the forefront of research in the field of Reproductive Medicine. An in-demand speaker, he has presented at a number of international scientific meetings, and was recently elected a Women’s Health Research Scholar by the National Institutes for Health. A recipient of the Patient’s Choice Award, he is a member of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Endocrine Society and the Society for the Study of Reproduction.

      Dr. Sergio Oehninger

      CV Highlights:
      Dr. Oehninger previously held the prestigious title of the Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine (the first IVF clinic in America). The Jones Institute pioneered in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in America, and since his arrival to that clinic in 1988, Dr. Oehninger has helped thousands of couples achieve their dreams of starting a family though IVF and other technologies. He has also held the positions of Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Oehninger joined Sher Fertility Institute NY in 2018.

      What Else He’s Bringing to the Trellis Table:
      A recognized leader in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, Dr. Oehninger has received multiple academic distinctions including a Fulbright scholarship to Rutgers University, and awards for his clinical services from EVMS, local community and national organizations including, Best Doctors in America 2017-2018, Top Award “Inside Business – Health Care Heroes, Advancements in Health Care” and the 2017 “American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Star Award”. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

      Levent Keskintepe, PhD
      LAB DIRECTOR, TRELLIS
      CV Highlights:
      Upon completion of his PhD and Post Doctoral training at the University of Georgia, Dr. Keskintepe began his career as Embryologist and Lab Director at Reproductive Biology Associates at Augusta and Medical College of Georgia. He then moved into a role as Senior Research Scientist and Director of Transgenic Core Facilities at Medical College of Georgia, Institute of Molecular Immunology and Genetics. Shifting to SIRM NY as Executive Laboratory Director, he took on the role of Executive Director of IVF laboratories in 2001.

      What Else He’s Bringing to the Trellis Table:
      An expert in “all things egg,” Dr. Keskintepe has studied in vitro maturation, fertilization and embryo and egg freezing extensively throughout his academic career, and has been published 100+ times in both national and international journals. He is an adjunct professor at University of Nevada, School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the International Embryo Transfer Society and a number of other prestigious industry organizations.

      Labside Manner:
      In March 2014, Dr. Keskintepe was named “Embryologist of the Month” by the American College of Embryology, an acknowledgement of “excellence in the practice of reproductive embryology.” His deep interest in embryo & egg freezing, culture and early genetics will be a great asset in keeping Trellis at the forefront of fertility science.

      Ebony McFadden
      MEDICAL ASSISTANT
      Career Highlights:
      An RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), Ebony received her AAS from Trident University, has five years of experience in women’s health and has worked with more than 500 patients. She’s well-versed in both care and protocols.

      Why I Joined Trellis:
      Having watched women struggle with infertility, I want to help spread the word about fertility options. We as women need to take charge of our fertility and own it.

      My “Someday Family” Journey:
      At the age of 22, I was blessed with a healthy, gorgeous son. I’d like more children, but don’t want to worry about a decline in fertility. Thanks to Trellis, I know my options.

      My Self-Care Splurge:
      Pilates! But I also meditate, which doesn’t cost a dime.
